ICAS Climbing Club: International sport climbing trip (Majorca)

We are going to Majorca where the sun shines and there is plenty of top quality sport climbing of every kind and all grades, there is even some deep water soloing to be had.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
Flights will need to be booked by yourselves and are likely upwards of £150.
(Please make sure you have confirmation there is room on the trip for you before booking your flights.)
There will also be a deposit of £200 this will cover.

This is an estimate and should cover cost, but may need a small top up when there.
WHO CAN COME?
This trip is for ICAS members only - with a priority given to full members who have climbed with us before. You must be able to lead climb outdoors to attend. If you are unsure of your experience please speak to a trip organiser.
We so far have an advance party of five booked up and I am opening this up to a maximum of ten.
The advance party flight details are as follows.
Tim, Stefanie, Rich, Nigel and Daniel.
We will be flying out with Easyjet from Gatwick on Saturday 20th Aprill 05:40 arrive Palma 09:00. Flight 8623.
Going back we are booked for the Sunday 28th Aprill departing Palma 21:45 arrive Gatwick 23:15 Easyjet flight 8632.
Ideally you will also take these flights however if we have another group all coming at a different time that would be fine.
WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW?
Sign up to show your interest, I will then confirm your eligibility to come on the trip. You will then need to book your flights and pay the deposit by the 20th of Feb to confirm your place on the trip.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED!
Travel insurance, (BMC ROCK recomended)
Kit List per pair (Minimum).
- 60-70 meter rope
- 12-18 quick draws
- slings two short two long
- belay device (each)
- hms carabiner, two small one large
- helmet (each)

Climbing is an inherently dangerous activity, which could cause personal injury or death. Attendees at any ICAS climbing club events should be aware of and accept the risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.
Outdoor trips are open only to paid-up members of the ICAS Climbing Club (£30 per year plus £5 joining fee). Speak to our membership secretary Lisa Payne for more information on joining.
