This morning I was fortunate enough to meet with Jim Westbury the organizer for another meet-up group in Salt Lake that is exploring the options for forming a 55+ intentional community in the Salt Lake area. What intentional communities, pocket neighborhoods, villages, and cohousing communities all have in common is the vision and purpose of creating small-scale sustainable communities around the interests, needs, desires and budget of the residents. Jim suggested that we hold a joint meet-up which makes a lot of sense. By joining forces the groups can create several options for sustainable communities - the possibilities are endless.
We will be joining the Sage Place meeting on Sunday, August 17th, at 2:00pm in Murray Park on the south side at one of the pavilions or picnic tables. Enter from 495 E. and 5300 S. Drive back to where you see the school, turn left and continue until you see the pavilions. There will be a Sage Place sign posted. Bring a light snack to share. 2 pm. Any questions or get lost call me, Cindy,[masked]-6600.
I hope to see you there!
