Monthly IDIEM Meetup

Derek will be hosting this months Instructional Design Meetup (IDIEM) at the Harvard Extension School.  If you wish to share dinner/gab prior to the meeting, feel free to bring your meal to the 2nd floor lounge as early as 5:30 pm.  This will allow folks to gradually file in, with the hopes that all attendees will be present and ready to start the meeting promptly at 6:30pm.  Derek will be showing off the new version of StarLogo he's been sweating over for the past year.  We will also be discussing possible directions for the Instructional Design Association (formed last year by fellow Harvard students, i.e. us), and further exploring the possibility of crowd-sourcing an instructional design journal and/or anthology in the coming months/years.

Just wanted to confirm that we will be meeting at the Harvard Extension School, 51 Brattle Street, in the 2nd floor student lounge. This will be a less formal meeting, no featured guest, a good time to meet several members who will be joining us for the first time. We will also be doing a bit of reflecting on the past year since we began these monthly gatherings and visioning around where folks hope we will be headed into our second year. There are plenty of restaurants/cafes in the area if you want to pick up dinner on the way in. Several of us will be gathering between 5:30 and 6 pm to share a bite before beginning promptly at 6:30 pm.

I'd love to hear about some of the projects that are coming out of ED 113.
