Silicon Publishing Solutions & Steve's InDesign Insights

Silicon Publishing Solutions

Max Dunn of Silicon Publishing will demonstrate and explain InDesign automation, from simple scripting to server automation that can generate millions of dynamic documents. He will review the forms of automation available with InDesign, ranging from scripts that can be written or used by designers to the few cases in which a developer is needed, to enhance the fundamental behavior of InDesign. Discussion will include review of planned changes recently announced by Adobe for InDesign CC extensibility.

Steve Werner continued to demonstrate how knowledgeable he is and his ability to convey that knowledge to a wide audience. Appreciate that he keeps us up to date on InDesign improvements, new features, tricks and shortcuts.

Ditto the Steve Werner comments—very helpful to your regular InDesign user. Max Dunn was very adept, but I'd like to have heard him tailor more to the User audience at least half the time. Explaining how automation can or should be considered/adapted into a regular client project.

Max Dunn was a very good speaker, in that he was knowledgable about the subject and spoke with great passion, but I had no connection with the topic and didn't get very much out of it. The highlight for me was Steve Werner. His tips and tricks were things that I can take back to work tomorrow and put into practice right away. His presentation had real value for me.

Very useful information. Silicon Publishing Solutions talk a little over my head, but that is a pretty low threshold anyway. Good stuff!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
