Kamal will be giving a talk on Pyramid - a popular Python web framework, and Cameron will be going over Fabric - a Python library and command-line tool for remote execution and deployment.  As always we'll have an open discussion afterwards.

As always it was great seeing everyone again, and thank you Kamal and Cameron for sharing your knowledge and experience with the group.

Kamal did an excellent job covering Pyramid and giving us an up-close look at the Eucalyptus Console. Pyramid, Chameleon, metal, AngularJS, etc...

My brief talk's demo failed and I was saved by Ed and was able to give folks a simple intro to Fabric.

Good meeting, looking forward to next month.

Was curious about Fabric and wasn't aware of Pyramid. Good info.

    John,

After recycling my ArgParse talk at work my co-workers have been asking for another talk about Fabric > http://docs.fabfile.org/en/1.8/

It is a remote execution library that I use daily at work to control a cluster of machines. It isn't part of the Standard Library but still might be of interest to others in the group especially if you find yourself ssh'ing into many machines and repeating yourself.

Let me know if I should work on pulling something together for next month.

    Cheers!

Hi Cameron, that would be great. I know Fabric has come up several times in discussions so it would be good to give everyone a more in depth view of what is does. So yes, if you could put something together for June I'll put it on the schedule. Thanks!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
