There has been an overwhelming response to this event but due to space considerations and also to preserve the format of this Meetup, we have to limit our group to 16. For those who are on the waiting list, I hope that you can still make it to Dewey's Flatiron at 8:30pm for networking. If you're interested in a quick studio tour, be sure to arrive a little early at 6:30pm. I've updated the Meetup description with the names of presenters as well as the place where we're getting together for drinks afterwards.
If you have RSVP'd Yes but will not be able to make it, please consider changing your RSVP.
Scheduled for every fourth Tuesday of the month from 7 pm to 8 pm, this Meetup focuses on discussions regarding the artistic and technical work that goes into game development as well as the business aspect of creating games and running a game company. The format is usually a presentation by guest speakers followed by a round-table discussion on a specific topic, where all attendees are encouraged to contribute. To facilitate this close and informal exchange of ideas, we usually keep the size of the group small, so be sure to RSVP.
The discussions are followed by drinks at a local bar for networking and socializing.
This Meetup complements the larger IGDA (International Game Developers Association) events. For more information on the IGDA, please visit the NYC chapter page at http://www.igda.org/nyc
