Hi folks, I'm a music blogger and it looks like I might be covering this one alone. Anyone else coming from NYC and looking to make a new friend?? I'm an experienced festival goer (6x Bonnaroo Vet, Summer Camp, Govs Ball, Firefly). I can offer lots of helpful tips. And as funny as the image of me putting a tent up be myself can be, I really don't want to do it alone.

Hey, is anyone else going just for Thursday and Friday, and if so, how are you getting there?

I'm considering going to this, but I don't know much about how it works. Anyone want to explain the camping festival scene?

I suppose it depends on where you're coming from. Typically I drive to festivals as it makes it easier to pack your tent, cooler, etc. You'll want to bring booze (if you drink) and food that's easy to keep. The camp grounds are usually separate from the main area where the stages are. Fests are usually pretty strict about bringing outside food/booze from the campgrounds into the mainstage areas. Usually shows start in the afternoon and go late into the night. Camp Bisco also has daily yoga, art installations and a hooka/hammock lounge! It sounds awesome.

I don't think I can make this one, but I went a few years ago and it was nuts! One word of caution, the security is done by the Hell's Angels (biker "gang"), and while they let a lot slide, don't be dumb. They search cars upon entry.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
