I used to be pretty much a cross-stitcher, until I joined this group, hehehe. I learned to crochet and have been 'hooked' since then. I lurve Yarnz! I still love cross-stitch, and also scrapbook and do a little beading.
I love visiting w/ women of varying ages while stitching. The comraderie and friendship developed in this kind of group really appeals to me - makes me think of my grandma and her mom sitting with their friends stitching & visiting in times past :)
I have a son with Autism and by necessity am a bottomless pit of information on the condition and the myriad of treatment options and resources out there. I use diet, supplements, and many therapies to help my son, & I'm happy to share info.
No, but have lived here since age 8.
I have lived in Snoh. County since I was 8. In process of divorce. Blessed with 3 gorgeous boys who keep me busy. Been cross-stitching since about 12 yrs old and Crocheting about 2 yrs.
This group is my sanity lifeline that gets me away from the stress of daily life to relax and have fun and do something productive that is just for me...and it is also the source of many rich friendships that I wouldn't trade for the world. A fantastic group, not stuffy or overly serious - crafters with attitude, just like me!
