48-Hour Film Challenge 2012
What Can YOU Do In Just 48 Hours?
New York, NY (November 5 2012) - WINTER FILM AWARDS, a new independent Film Festival in NYC, is pleased to challenge the local community to create a short film from start to finish in just a single weekend.
The WFA 48- Film Challenge gets under way on FRIDAY NOVEMBER 30 at 8pm. A representative from each team must come to our offices at 12 DesBrosses Street, New York NY 10013 between 8pm and midnight. Teams will be provided with a FILM GENRE, TAG-LINE and a fun PROP that must be used in a 7-minute film to be completed by SUNDAY DECEMBER 2 at 8pm. Entries may be shot either via traditional filmmaking equipment or teams can do the whole thing on smartphones. There is no fee to participate in the challenge.
On SATURDAY DECEMBER 8, the best entries as judged by the WFA Jury will be screened at the CHELSEA MANOR (138 West 25th Street, New York NY 10001) from 3-6pm, followed by an Award Ceremony, awesome prizes and networking party until 8pm. Prizes will be awarded for BEST PICTURE and FAN FAVORITE. Entry is $10, open to all ages and includes drink specials and discounts all night.
