Geoffrey Smith, director of the award winning documentary "The English Surgeon" is looking for people to assist with outreach and promotion for the upcoming NYC theatrical run of the film. This is a great chance to work closely with a very talented filmmaker, so if you're interested, contact him directly at [address removed]
He needs people to help ASAP for the theatrical run that starts next week (July 24th). See his notes below. You can learn more about his film, and watch the trailer here:http://www.theenglishsurgeon.com
Help him out and help promote a great indie documentary!
The run begins on July 24th for a week, and although I have the obligatory publicist and ads in place, getting actual postcards etc out to Hospitals, Universities and even the Ukrainian community in NYC will vital. (The film btw is ostensibly about a Brain surgeon going to the Ukraine to help people, something he has been doing for 15 years).
I am looking for someone to spend a morning working out where to go re the above list (and my Outreach co-ordinator in LA has a huge head start on that), and then getting out to all these places in the week running up to the 24th.. (or longer if you think it is wise) with other people depending on the workload..
