"Love Actually" at First Thursday

As part of the First Thursday activities, the Wadsworth shows a movie.  In December, the theme is "Festival!" - be the first to see the trees and decorations for their annual fundraiser Festival of Trees & Traditions! Enjoy holiday treats and décor with festive music by DJ Jon Eastman.

LOVE, ACTUALLY: This star-studded ensemble film "follows the lives of eight very different couples in dealing with their love lives in various loosely and interrelated tales all set during a frantic month before Christmas in London, England."  (2003 - 135 minutes) Written and directed by Richard Curtis.

The cost of the film is included in your entry fee for First Thursday.  Because of the Festival of Trees & Traditions, an additional $3 is added to all fees and must be paid, so the cost is $3 for members and $8 for non-members.   First Thursday begins at 5:00pm and includes snacks, music, art activities, special tours and lectures - for more information, check out the Wadsworth Atheneum website.  At the Aetna Theatre, popcorn and other snacks are available for purchase.

Couldn't find anyone there. Glad I went with a friend. The Christmas trees were beautiful. The paintings were exquisite. I loved the movie!

Sorry to have missed you. I did see Bill on the way out of the film but I guess most people left quickly.
