The Grand Budapest Hotel & dinner

Wes Anderson's films have been a staple for this group. Sometimes he hits (Moonrise Kingdom, The Fantastic Mr. Fox), sometimes he misses (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou).

But he always has a core of stellar actors and plots that can reach from the offbeat to the hilarious. I've been looking forward to this film since I saw the first preview, and am in great anticipation.....

Synopsis: The Grand Budapest Hotel recounts the adventures of Gustave H. (Ralph Fiennes), a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori), the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The dramatic comedy involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune—all against the backdrop of an imaginary European country on a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.

Trailer for The Grand Budapest Hotel

Dinner & Discussion will be at Yanni's (in the Landmark Plaza Centre), just south of the theater.

I apologize for the short notice, but did not want us to miss this film, and have had too many last minute cancellations lately.

For those who made it, this was a real fun outing. Screwball comedy at it's best, with Wes Anderson's tremendous pacing and Ralph Fiennes comic timing. Great new restaurant made sure we'll be back. Welcome to Ananda and Kim (special thanks for the ticket buying link I couldn't find!).

FYI: I just purchased a general admission ticket online for today's movie and it was $12.50 + $1.00 service charge = $13.50.

Do we get the tickets at the theatre when we arrive or do we have to pay in advance?
