The is the annual screening of the Oscar-nominated live-action and animated short films presented by the Motion Picture Academy.

This is a popular event, which has sold-out in years past. It's the only meetup which guarantees you will see two Oscar winning films in advance of the actual awards.

Directions: Organizer will be wearing a Gap baseball cap. We'll meet for lunch/ coffee next door at the Oxford Cafe, 109 E 59th St starting around 10:45 and 11AM and leave for the films around 11:40AM. It's a deli with seating in back. If you're just joining us for the films catch us on the way out. I can't look for people at the venue.

Eating is not permitted in this theater.

If you're not going to be there, your RSVP status should be 'no'. You may excuse yourself from the group if you need to use your cell phone or blackberry.
