Hi all, hope you are all well. I thought we would go and see Slumdog Millionaire as it is still playing at the State and will likely rake in the Oscars (if you care about that sort of thing). After the film we will go to Circus Bar and Billiards ($5 cash cover for entrance to 4 venues) for free pool. THERE IS NO KARAOKE UNTIL SPRING I AM TOLD, SORRY! The Killer Flamingos, a rock n roll cover/originals band are playing in the Cavern Club downstairs so this might be a fun thing to watch. - Hope to see you, Ryan The Film: 10 OSCAR NOMINATIONS INCLUDING BEST PICTURE AND BEST DIRECTOR! The story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much? http://movies.yahoo.c... Genres: Art/Foreign, Comedy, Drama, Adaptation and Teen Running Time: 2 hrs. Release Date: November 12th, 2008 (limited) MPAA Rating: R for some violence, disturbing images and language. Boston Globe, Ty Burr "I'll keep this simple: Cancel whatever you're doing tonight and go see Slumdog Millionaire instead.
