Who are your favorite filmmakers?

I will go with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. Steven for his wide variety of stories and portrayals of historical events. George for his clever original saga Star Wars films and his intuition to help start companies such as ILM and Lucasarts.

What are some of your favorite movies?

If I had to pick a single Star Wars episode it would be Empire. Indiana Jones, War of the Worlds, The Time Machine, Star Trek, Ben Hur, Batman, Groundhog Day, Truman Show, Jumanji, Twister, Alien, The Mummy, Planet of the Apes, Radio, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Wanted, Kill Bill, James Bond Series, Pleasantville, October Sky, Speed, The Matrix, all Disney and Pixar films, Forrest Gump, Good Will Hunting, Moulin Rouge, Prince of Egypt, Spaceballs, and the list goes on.

What lessons could the Hollywood studios learn from independent or foreign filmmakers?

That sometimes great ideas can stem from the imagination and creativity and not out of a bestseller book/novel that they know will make money. Independence is bold and it worked for George Lucas for a while until he got greedy.
