Michael Moore is releasing his new film Slacker Uprising online and for free, but the WORLD PREMIERE will take place in the Historic Auditorium of the Michigan Theater!

Moore will be in attendance, and is speaking before the film at 5:00 PM as part of the Penny W. Stamps D istinguished Visitors Series. Admission to the lecture and the film is FREE and first-come, first-served. Doors open at 4:00 PM.

Slacker Uprising traces Michael Moores 62-city tour of the swing states during the 2004 Presidential election and records the thrilling -- and frightening -- response he received across the country. It includes a jam-packed and raucous event at the University of Michigan in October of 2004.

Michael Moore is an Academy-Award winning filmmaker, author, actor and political commentator. He is the director and producer of three of the highest-grossing documentaries of all time, Fahrenheit 9/11, Sicko, and Bowling for Columbine. He has also written and starred in the TV shows TV Nation and The Awful Truth, which continue his trademark style of presenting serious documentaries in humorous ways. In 2005 Time Magazine named Moore one of the world's 100 most influential people.
