Crowdfunding Meetup @ Santa Monica Apple Store (drinks after!)

  • July 25, 2012 · 7:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Hi!

This Wednesday, join Indiegogo’s Adam Chapnick, crowdfunding expert, for a conversation about crowdfunding and some free drinks afterwards.

After five years and over 100,000 campaigns, we at Indiegogo are sitting on mountains of data that provide great insights -- if you know where to look...

As a member of the Indiegogo community, you're invited to learn from success stories, and hear the tips and statistics that could give you an advantage that makes the difference between a good campaign and a great one.

Come find out how crowdfunding can bring your idea to life, get your questions answered, and have a drink on us afterward.

WHEN: This Wednesday, July 25th, at 7:30pm
WHERE: Apple Store, 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica
DRINKS: Afterwards, TBA

    Hey Guys,
I've been making really goofy weekly videos to try and spread interest in my film and a local business has now asked me to do one with them in exchange for their services. So it's not really money coming in, but it's shaving $$$ of my budget and it's getting me connected w/new audiences, and the business owners too. You can see what I mean by visiting indiegogo.com/projects/101149 Check out the gallery to see what I mean. I'll be doing the business one (Box Bros) next week.
    Thanks

Hellooo dear friends, apologies for joining here so late, but THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming out on Wednesday, and for being a part of the Indiegogo family for the evening... As I shared with some of you, the Apple Store has invited me to do an event every quarter, so I'll let you know when the next one is. I'm planning to mix it up a bit -- add new info and bring some successful L.A. campaigners to share their experiences and answer questions. And of course, keep the drinking!

I want to thank Adam as well as his team for an educational and very inspiring event. There was so much valuable information given and I hope that you'll post a video of it so I can not only listen again, but share it on social media. I can see why some folks come back to see Adam again. I know I will. Thank you also for listening to my thoughts about my upcoming campaign. There were some really interesting people at the event, and I'll be looking forward to seeing those folks again! :)

I am very pleased to have met all of you. It is inspiring to meet others moving toward a goal and giving it their all. Although I did not have a conversation with everyone it was clear that we were all serious about our projects in learning how to run a successful funding program. I really look forward to connecting further. I invite you to check out my film project at www.thebusinessofdisease.com

I was pleasantly surprised with the level of information that Adam shared. I was encouraged to go full force in my campaigning. He provided valuable tools which I am implementing at this time. It was also great to meet like minds; people who set out to achieve their goals. I look forward to all other possible meetings!

Hi All. It was great to see so many of you at the Apple Store last night. I learned a LOT! We're currently in the brainstorming stages of the crowdfunding campaign for our new comedy webseries, and would love your help. Please view our two-and-a-half minute first episode and let me know your ideas for Perks we could offer or any campaign angles or strategies you'd suggest. I'd really appreciate it.

Adam is a terrific speaker and I learned a lot. He shared very practical, useful and surprising information in a clear, fun, engaging way.

I was planning to run our upcoming campaign on a different crowdfunding platform, but now I'm giving serious consideration to using Indiegogo instead.

We're in the brainstorming stage of the crowdfunding campaign for our comedy webseries now. If anyone would care to participate, please view our two-and-a-half minute first episode and share your ideas for Perks we could offer. We'd also welcome your thoughts on any campaign angles or strategies you'd suggest.

I'd really appreciate your input. Thanks.

Thanks again. It was great to meet so many of you last night.

Great stuff! I learned so much and Adam was hysterical. I told him that his presentation needed to be on the front of the indiegogo website. My campaign for my short film covers a very timely yet ongoing subject. The tragedy of Penn State comes home to a small town and to its hometown hero with devastating results. indiegogo.com/thelifeorfiley

It was terrific. Very informative, and Adam was fantastic. They should definitely do more and I'll be back. By the way check out indiegogo.com/thelifeofriley Very important issue, shared with 1 in five men in the US and Canada.

Thanks for great info -- wish I'd known it all BEFORE I started (I had read the suggestions on Indiegogo site, but you all didn't have all this wealth of info there!). Anyway, I've passed it along to friends just starting theirs - take a look at my campaign so far, we're so close to having the big parts covered! www.indiegogo.com/projects/101149

I think you guys are really gonna love this event! Adam C. is a super fun guy and has great tips. I felt liked I learned so much and had so much fun at the last one in April, that I'm signing up again--to brush up on my swagg, before my next campaign. See you there ;)
