Beyond the Redshift Festival / "Audio Visual Experience"

For all fans of epic, atmospheric music, this festival is for you:

The festival (audio/visual experience...) is curated and headlined by sludge/post metal band Cult of Luna and they have brought bands together across a range of genres from including post-metal, post-rock, prog rock, shoegaze and ambient from all over the world.

The festival is spread across 3 nearby venues in North London: The Forum, The Dome and the Boston Music Rooms

God Is An Astronaut[masked]

God Seed[masked]

Cult Of Luna[masked]

The Dome

Esben And The Witch[masked]

The Old Wind[masked]

Boston Music Room

Shield Patterns[masked]

Petter Carlsen[masked]

Further Down[masked]

Dirk Serries[masked]

Thought Forms[masked]

Greg Haines[masked]

Starting with the most mellow, some of the stand out bands for me are:

Shield Patterns

Esben and the Witch

God is an Astronaut

Cult of Luna

God Seed (Well maybe...)

Tickets are £30 plus fees for a full day of entertainment (doors open at Midday). Many of the bands will be given hour long sets (2 hours in the case of Cult of Luna) allowing them chance to really express themselves.

Tickets are available from all the usual places. Stargreen is probably the cheapest.

Beyond the Redshift is tomorrow! Wristbands can be collected from the Forum (which is very close to Kentish Town station) from 11am. The festival have specifically planned a meeting point in the catering room at the Forum open between 11.30 and 12.00. I will be there for this time then heading over to the Dome to catch pg.lost who start at 12.15. I will send out my number by email and update here with what I'm wearing on the day...

Won't be able to make the 22nd as I'll be watching the cricket at the Oval that day/night. Its a strange layout but I do like the Good Ship.

I REALLY wanted to go to this, but I just realised as you posted the event that I'm not in London that weekend. Boo.
