Sleigh Bells with Doldrums

Whose ready from some arena rock?

Songwriter/producer Derek Miller and vocalist Alexis Krauss comprise Sleigh Bells, an experimental pop duo that began earning its first fans after a breakout performance at the 2009 CMJ Festival. The musicians formed the group in New York, where Miller (a Florida native and onetime member of hardcore act Poison the Well) had relocated in the hopes of starting a new project. He found his ideal partner in Krauss, a former vocalist for the teenaged girl group Rubyblue, and the two began creating a batch of demos that combined pop hooks with loud, rhythmic crunch. The duo is also signed to M.I.A.'s boutique label N.E.E.T.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at The Sinclair box office (I believe) or online: http://www.ticketmaster.com/sleigh-bells-boston-massachusetts-11-16-2013/event/01004B1DD2BCCE1B?artistid=1410738&majorcatid=10001&minorcatid=1&tm_link=artist_msg-0_01004B1DD2BCCE1B

Let's meet up at the Intermission bar before heading over to The Royale. I'll provide my mobile number to those attending closer to the event date.

They're also releasing a new album, "Bitter Rivals," on Ocotober 8, 2013.

"Minnie! Rachel! Did you bring your A/B Machines? It’s the End of the Line and time to ‘Sleigh’ those Bells!” Like that? Did it get you pumped for the show? Good. There seems to be a decent Meet Up crowd for this event and that does me proud. Hope you all had a chance to listen to their latest album, “Bitter Rivals.” If not due yourself a service and spend the $11.88 at Newbury Comics, listen to it on Spotify or steal the album from your friend.

Since doors are at 6pm and the Riot Rhythm probably commences at 7pm let’s pre-game at Intermission Tavern at 5:30pm. We'll head to the venue around 6:30pm.

My mobile is[masked] if you need to message or call.

I’m not going to lie, I’m excited. They are my swagger band.

Sleigh Bells fans Never Say Die! See you at the show,

    Sandra

Me too! Pleased, & not a little surprised, to see they're still avail. @ reasonable face value (plus of course unreasonable taxes, fees, surcharges, tariffs & customs duties or whatever, but whaddyagonnado?). Thx for the stream Michael; it led me to buy Bitter Rivals. They kinda lost me on Reign of Terror but reeled me back in w/ the new one right away, even though on early listens so far it appeals in a different way than Treats. Anyway, can't wait!

Sugarcane, Single Like a Wire, and Tiger Kit are deffinitely worth buying the album alone!

You're welcome, Dave! (And you can always get the tickets without the unreasonable fees at the box office... and for The Sinclair that means any place that books through Bowery Boston... but yeah, it can be a pain to try to get to a box office.)

So I just purchased the new Sleigh Bells album and it's awesome. Definitely worth the $11.88 at Newbury Comics. Good investment in preparation for the show. It is going to be the night of nights. Part of which I may not remember. Enjoy!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
