Introduction

I am an aspiring entrepreneur, a graphic designer, and a community advocate. I love supporting startups, Indy, green initiatives, and local breweries. Currently, I am working on building a business to provide superior design to small businesses.

Tell us about yourself and where you typically work.

Although I enjoy working from home, I am interested in building a community of other artists to collaborate with. I also occasionally contract out design and development work when I am overloaded with clients. I spend about 50% of my time working from home, and the other 50% in business development. I hold client meetings at places such as Taste Cafe, Henry's on East, and Calvin Fletcher's Coffee Shop. In addition, I consistently attend events such as Verge, AIGA Indy, and other professional meetups around the city. My work focusses on small business needs such as designing websites, business cards, postcards, and advertising as well as content and photography.

Sometimes coworkers share their expertise to help each other (design feedback, advice, tips). What are your areas of expertise?

I have a fairly wide network in the city and probably know a person who can help you with the project you are working on. My aesthetic falls more in line with a clean, simple, and structured approach and I am more than happy to give design advice for both web and print. I have experience in editing, am not afraid to cut it down to the bare bones. I will always give an honest opinion. I highly value constructive criticism and am continuously improving my craft. I have an eye for organization, structure, and presenting a clear concise message, so I am happy to look at any sort of visual representation and provide feedback.
