Let's Talk Movies and the MOTM: The Maltese Falcon (1941)

Love movies? Love to talk about movies? Every fourth Tuesday join other movie lovers at Cornerstone Coffee in south Broad Ripple for two hours of good conversation on our favorite subject.

The second hour is dedicated to an in-depth discussion of the movie of the month. New for 2013, it's the First Annual Indy Film Buffs 11 Movies You Must See Before You Die. Spanning eight decades of Hollywood history, these eleven classics in as many genres are cultural touchstones and enduring favorites. This is a series you won't want to miss!

For April we'll explore the origins of film noir with THE MALTESE FALCON (1941). Humphrey Bogart gives the iconic screen interpretation of Dashiell Hammett's famous hardboiled detective Sam Spade. The movie was directed by John Huston and co-stars Mary Astor as the femme fatale. Peter Lorre and Sydney Greenstreet are unforgettable as two of the colorful lowlifes after the priceless statue.

This event repeats every fourth Tuesday.
