THE ANGELS' SHARE is a very appealing-looking comedy from Scotland. A small-time loser in Glasgow discovers an unsuspected natural talent for rating whiskey. Will he choose a good job and life on the straight and narrow or the (rare spirits) heist of a century? Winner of the Jury Prize at Cannes last year, this is the latest film from veteran director Ken Loach (RIFFRAFF, THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY). Check out the movie's official website for more information.
Running time is 1 hour, 40 minute; you can expect about 10 minutes of ads and previews at the Landmark. Showtime is 1:50 and Meetup time is 1:30 in the lobby. I'll be in the outer lobby near the box office until about 10 minutes before showtime. After the movie we'll reconvene in the The Indie Lounge- the bar attached to the theater- for discussion and socializing.
