"The Invisible Man" (1933) and "The Horror of Party Beach" (1963) at Gary's

Earlier this year we mourned the passing of Bob Carter aka "Sammy Terry", so as a tribute I'll be showing two films he featured on his "Nightmare Theater" program.

First  Claude Rains gives a remarkable performance as "The Invisible Man".  Covered in bandages and dark glasses Rains arrives in a small English village and attemps to hide his amazing discovery.  The same drug that renders him invisible slowly drives him to commit acts of unspeakable terror.  This film is directed by James Whale.

A drag race between hot-rodders and bikers winds up at a swinging rock and roll beach party where the Del-aires perform some rockin' tunes. Nearby, a barrel containing radioactive waste in unloaded from a passing ship, plunges to the bottom of the sea, splitting against a jagged rock.  When the radioacive liquid ozzes out and covers a human skull, a vicious monster comes to life and becomes "The Horror of Party Beach."  The film is directed by Del Tenney.

Feel free to bring a dring or a snack to share.  We'll order some pizzas between the films.  Hope to see you there.

    Another question: where to park.
I assume it may be a problem in this area close to Jazz Kitchen? Any recommendations?

Don't worry about parking. There's always plenty of street parking on Broadway.
