Film Buffs Amazing Christmas Party

Come and celebrate the season with your friends in the Indy Film Buffs. We'll be watching a classic Christmas movie - National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation starring Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo and not forgetting, Randy Quaid. We'll meet at 6.30 pm and we plan to put the movie on at 7.00pm. We're going to meet at Amore Pizzeria in Zionsville. I know it's on the Northside but we have a big room where we can gather and enjoy each others company!! Amore features New York style pizza, Italian sandwiches, pasta and more. You can see the whole menu
on their website. In addition to the yummy pizza and pasta, Amore also has a selection of cookies for dessert baked by Molti Gusti, a fabulous New York Style Italian American Bakery run by two of our members.

Nice location! Until last night, I'd only watched bits and pieces of NLCV.

The movie was as funny as I'd remembered, the food was good, but I am disappointed that it broke up so soon. I would have enjoyed it more, I think, if it was in someone's home & we could have mingled more after the movie... I know that everyone involved worked very hard to make it a success, and I think it was, but I came home wishing that there's been something more after the show. I would volunteer to host a movie party, but I don't think the layout of my home is conducive...

Yes, people can bring guests to events. Just add them when you RSVP. (Doug, I just added a guest to your RSVP, and you can remove that if your plans change.) :-)

Yes, I have a pull-down movie screen, but I do not have a stand. (I just hang it from hooks in the ceiling/hooks on the fence at my place instead). Does anyone out there have a stand? If not, I'll go ahead and check into buying one since it would be good to have.

We have the projector and sound system sorted, but we're still lacking something to project onto (as in a screen). Does anyone have a portable movie screen that we can use for the occasion?
