"The Notorious Concubines" at Gary's

Hey everyone, I'll be hosting a special cult movie night at my place.  I'll be showing Koji Wakamatsu's "The Notorious Concubines".

Not satisfied with being a 13th century housewife, the unscrupulous Chin Lien, "a sensuous, lecherous beast," tries to exchange her rice salesman of a husband for his more attractive brother, Wu Sung, the captain of the guards.  This tale of lust, deception, and murder is a heady mix of art-house film and sleazy exploitation.

Feel free to bring a drink or snack to share.  We'll order some pizzas before the film.  Hope to see you there!

its ok to host a concubine, especially if you're a senator it seems.
unlikely I will kowtow. I remember "Last Emperor" and the cricket scene too...

@Lisa. Yep, it'll just be a movie. I'm no lawyer but I think there may be laws against hosting concubines, notorious or otherwise(:

I'm just relieved it is the film that will be at your place and not actually any notorious . . .
