I love films, but find many of my friends don't have the same passion for obscure, foreign, or wacky films. I'd like to find others who share this interest and get exposed to movies I've overlooked to this point.
3 times a week.
Akira Kurosawa, Werner Herzog
Toshiro Mifune, Gene Wilder, Paul Newman
Ed Wood
Ran, Seven Samurai, Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, Serenity, Dark City, The Producers (1968), A Day At The Races, Amadeus
The people are great and I always learn about new movies I haven't seen yet.

Hi. We haven't met, but wanted to say you have great taste in directors (we picked the same 2). Was watching "Into the Abyss" & think Herzog is underrated by too many.
Matt, Why are you wearing business clothes on the beach in your photo. Shirt tucked in, no less.
Thanks Mr. Matthew Ellis!!! I am so looking forward to getting back involved with Toastmasters!!!
Thanks for the opportunity!!! Terence
Hello! It's good to see that someone else in this group appreciates Kurosawa and Toshiro Mifune.
Thanks for your comment about last night's Meetup. To be honest the turnout caught us by surprise (having too many people is a problem we'd like to have more often!). We'll have to re-think the seating arrangement and break into two groups if this keeps up. :)
Glad you could make it to the meetup last night. It was great to have another Kurosawa admirer there for the discussion.
