I would nominate the film "Medium Cool".  It was written and directed by the renown cinematographer Haskell Wexler.  He heard that there was going to be some rioting during the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago so he quickly got together some actors and filmed a story that takes place during the actual rioting putting his actors and film crew right in the middle of all chaos.  The result is a movie that makes you feel like you are right there during a very unique and crazy period of time.  It is also a great chance to see young up and coming actors like Robert Forster,  Peter Bonerz (Jerry from 'The Bob Newhart Show') and Verna Bloom.  It also makes an excellent critical commentary on the news media and most specifically news reporters. Definitely has a lot of unique and memorable sequences.

Hello Film Buffs,

You can nominate a film between now and Tues Nov 4th at 9PM. "All the President's Men", "Butch Cassady and the Sundance Kid", and "Cool Hand Luke", were all nominated last month but not picked. Each of these will be in consideration for this month. Members are free to nominate any film as long as its easily obtained on DVD, and is discussable. I'll be showing the Movie of the Month at my house on Sunday Nov 16th. I'll be announcing the movie of the month and setting up the meet-up on Wed Nov 5th. Any Questions or concerns, feel free to contact me.

All the Best,
Gary
