Faire organizers are excited to announce that Shane Adams, the host of, and two of the contestants from the popular History Channel television show FULL METAL JOUSTING tm will be jousting this year at the faire.  Adams is recognized as one of the creators of modern day full-contact jousting (http://knightsofvalour.ca).  In addition, there will be over 250 costumed characters, armed combat demonstrations, period music and dance, Shakespeare vignettes, roving comedy, swordplay, knighting ceremonies, parades, and over 70 artisans and merchants, many food vendors and free kid’s games. On the stages there will be pirate shows, juggling, fire and magic, impossible feats/aerial show, sea chanties, music and so much more.  Guests 21 and older are welcome to enjoy the tavern serving up beer and mead along with entertainment.

The 2012 Faire Theme -- 'Tis the Year 1579 and, more importantly, 'tis the 20th year anniversary of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth’s coronation. The town of Byllerica is all abuzz with news of the Queen's impending arrival and they are hard at work preparing for a grand celebration of the Queen's Jubilee.  In addition, due to the resignation of Her Majesty's Jester from the position of Mayor of Byllerica, the citizens have decided to hold elections for a new Mayor.  Already several outstanding candidates have stepped forward to claim the title including Mistress Paavec (the Spice Merchant) and Captain Romeo 'the' Red (the notorious Pirate who undoubtedly will be cheating his way to the top). The Mayoral Candidates will be wandering the village to meet (and possibly bribe) potential voters.  They will also be participating in the Variety show that the town will be presenting to the Queen as their gift on this celebratory weekend.
