IAU Member Card

Hey everyone,

This is an exciting new chapter for the IAU and it begins today. I am writing to formally introduce the IAU Member Card. Its a means of funding our group and giving you all something tangible to take with you that not only gives you added benefits but identifies you as a member of the group and gives you a chance to make an investment in our future.

At the moment it provides you with benefits from our partners at the Jumonkan Dojo and Sega Game Works. At Sega the card is good for a free gaming card which normally costs two dollars and for first time registrants that can be parlayed to ten dollars of arcade fun for a total value of twelve dollars of fun in the arcade. We plan to have many more as our group continues to grow.

The cards look pretty darn snazzy, with our new group mascot and our name in bright bold colors and our contact info and url on the back and Official Member emblazoned on the front of the card. These cards are going to be sold at five dollars a pop and will allow us to do exciting new things like purchase tables at conventions or buy badges for members to said conventions, allow us to pay our meetup website maintenance fees, fund grassroots marketing efforts for our group and the promotion of anime across central Indiana, and allow us to expand our free screenings to new and exciting titles as they come up.

Please support the IAU today and help us hit the ground running in 2010!

Best, Gabe
your humble organizer

(A special thanks to all of our assistant organizers, including Beth whose responsible for the member card design!!!)
