On Tuesday, May 7, at 7pm, as part of the German American Klub's monthly cultural event, the GAK will host Upland Brewing company for a tasting of their beers.
Upland executive, Caleb Staton, will present background on Upland and information on the brewer's craft. Several Upland brew's will be sampled, including Preservation Pilsner, Maibock, Schwartz Lager, Dragonfly IPA, Wheat Ale, Amber, and Porter. Each beer will be paired with a sample of food prepared by Edelweiss Restaurant, including bratwurst, knockwurst, curry wurst, summer sausage, cured salmon, pretzel, cheese, and mini cheesecake.
The cost is $15 per GAK member and $20 per non-member. The cost includes 3-4 oz samples of all seven beers listed paired with sample size portions of the foods listed above.
