Cincinnati winter beerfest

I have gone four years in a row it is one of the best in the midwest. It has gotten much better the last two years. Me and two beer geeks go. We always have a great time and have found good restaurants and bars. I will post the hotel where we stay. The selection is good and you get to try new beers that we can not get in Indy. It is only a 1.5 - 2.5 hours from the indy area plus I also hit jungle Jim's.

The hotel (Garfield suites) is walking distance. I looked on Beeradvocate.com and found some bars with good reviews in walking distance from hotel. Nicholson's .2 miles, Arnolds Bar .2 miles, Lackman .3 miles and Moerlein .8 miles. The hotel has a cafe and a good restaurant. There is a convenient store across the street for food and cold beer, so driving is not necessary

I had a good time but only for a short time. I came down with a stomach flu and had to back to the hotel

The hotel we stay in is Garfield suites hotel, 2 Garfield Place, Cincinnati, OH. It is .04 miles from beer fest and we got a two room suite with kitchen for $99. It was clean, decent neighborhood with a convenient store restaurants close by. It also had a couch that one of us slept on. $33 each was pretty cheap and I cooked breakfast saving us more money

Doesn't everyone need a designated driver, or at least someone sober enough to get you back to the hotel? :-P

Don't know much about beer, but enjoy the party. I might tag along and check it out.

Jungle Jim's is worth the drive alone! I'll have to check closer to that time, but I may be able to make it.

I'll see what I can do! :-) I'm down with going to JJ's too. I've been wanting to go there but haven't made the trip. Now, I have a reason!!!

I'm going to have to meet you there, since I now live in northwestern Ohio. Please send me the hotel info when you can. Can't wait to see everyone again!

That would be great Fell free to bring some Ohio beer that I can not get in Indy. I love Fatheads IPA, Brew Kettle White Rajah, and Columbus brewery IPA. I will gladly reimburse you.

I'm interested in going, but it's difficult for me to make plans this far in advance. Any trip to Cincy isn't complete without hitting up JJ's.

Just try you will have a blast, I have found a good Thai place to eat and a great Korean place also nearby. The fest has live music and food for sale. The most important thing is lots of excellent beer to sample.
