My life was changed when I discovered that beer was good for what ales me.
I used to be a Guinness man, all stouts and porters, but Bell's Two-Hearted won me over. Very muchly have become a hops guy, and now the local Flat-12 "Half-Cycle" is my beer of choice.
Whatever's on the plate in front of me. (Standard bar fare works quite well.)
Flat-12 Bierworks (Dorman St between New York and Michigan), hands down. Their high-hopped Half-Cycle is my beer of choice, but the rest of their line-up -- from wits to the excellent Pogue's Run Porter -- is just marvelous stuff. Opening soon right near me in Irvington will be a new microbrewery ("Black Acre") that I am hopeful will provide a solid local anchor for people who wish to have a beer (a *real* beer) in an environment of clean air....
Tasty brews and beer enthusiasts = great time!
