Andy D's CD release show @ Radio Radio

Here is an excellent opportunity to catch one of Indy's most unique performers. Andy D is a showman of the highest order. I'm sure fellow cohort, Michelle, will attest to that. He has a signature style and music to match. While his act is in a certain way a joke, it's the kind where you're laughing with him rather than at him. That is due to his sincere commitment to creating a party atmosphere for everyone involved. First and foremost, an Andy D show is about fun. Once he takes the stage it's infectious.

This will be an even more special performance than usual for the D because it is the release party for his new CD "Songs in the Key of Magic". The $10 ticket price includes a copy of his new masterpiece. Or you can look at it as buying his CD and receiving a live performance from him for free. Whichever you prefer.

Here is a write up on Andy D from the folks at My Old Kentucky Blog to help illuminate the superstar:

If vikings time-travelled to the 80s, took semen samples from Grandmaster Flash, Beastie Boys, Michael Jackson, Prince and Poison, came back to the present, inseminated Peaches, and then brought her to the future to have the baby and have it raised by breakdancing robot wolves, you might end up with Andy D. Andy D is a hurricane of sex, sweat, and day-glo. He burst onto the Indianapolis scene a little more than a year ago, after moving down to Bloomington via Brooklyn. His live shows immediately became the stuff of legend. Combining rap, rock, and comedy, Andy D is best experienced in flesh rather than talked about.

This event is free when you purchase Andy D's new CD at the door for $10!

Performances by Andy D, Beta Male and Grey Granite + Andy D's epic new cd for only $10!!! Sex, sweat, and rock!

Thanks for adding those pictures from the show, Jason (or should I call you J?). Of course, a still image cannot capture the magic of the D.

Andy D treated us all to a magical evening. He had the crowd in the palm of his hand. Hips were swaying and booties were bumping. I couldn't even stick it out for his second set after he had performed all the tracks from his new cd because I was exhausted, but I have seen him perform those other songs numerous times in the past couple months. Beta Male was really great too. It was my first time seeing this local band and I'm eager to see them again soon.

I saw you up there by the speakers on the right side of the stage, Joe. I was going to say hello, but then I realized I was drunk, so I left. It's good that the night air was brisk, because it sobered me up enough to drive home. Andy D was amazing as usual.

I'm either going to miss this event or be extremely late. Have to go to Michigan for work, being on call sucks.

Bah, really wish I could make it to this show. Unfortunately, I'll be in Chicago tomorrow night. Dance with the D for me!

I'd help you out Deja if it weren't for the fact that I live on the extreme polar opposite, far south west side of Indy.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
