Gen Con!

Ladies and gentlemen...and all the rest of you...devilish For most of us, this is the main event! I know both princess Heather and myself will be gaming just as much as we can at this year's Gen Con. I believe she'll be gaming heavy in the D & D area (I believe they are playing in the hotels again) and I'll be in the tabletop/miniatures areas. Come say hi when you visit! Also, for those of you who haven't had a chance to check the site lately, there will be some gaming on August 12th (Wednesday) for those of you who can't get enough in just four days! For those of you who are interested, I'd like to meet up with you to play your new games and you can help me break mine in. I have my eye on a few... Among them are mainly Mayfair games...I happen to like them way too much. I know there will be LOTS of people playing Arkham Horror - If you haven't had a chance yet to play - try it out! Gen Con is the time to play all we can't normally! And, yes Hobbit Heather, there will be Werewolf aplenty (I will be there Friday and/or Saturday night). Usually, there is a dance on Saturday night as well (it's free). It's a great time as a couple or just going stag. Remember, is the place to check out the events and last-minute details. See you there!

This was the best Gencon ever!!!!!!!!!! Met so many cool people and played new games ie Small world, Ticket to Ride Card game, Ultimate Werewolf. The dance was awsome people looked great in their masquerade costumes. The best part of the con besides winning a free broad game, getting to sing Feed Me from Little Shop of Horrors at the Queen of Geeks pagent, and being on the front cover of a local newspaper and being on the 11 o'clock new, was the endless hours of Are You a Werewolf? And finally winning as a werewolf in the best game of ARYAW I have ever played!!! Gencon 09 rocked!!!!!!!! Of course it was the icing on the cake when I got those beautiful boquet of purple flowers delivered to me from the sweetest and most amazing iuy in the world it just so happened to be our 3 month anniversary. A quarter of year! 3 more to go then whosyercon 210 here we come!!!

It was a great time for all of us and it was great hearing about everyone else's events and what they were doing. This was the first time with my girlfriend as well - there was just so much for us both to do! The dance was good as well (even though the speakers weren't)'s like a "geeks on parade" starring us!

First of all, I'm looking forward to meeting many of you this month. I will be working Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at the con (3 to 9pm). I will be working in VIG registration (or somewhere in registration). Come by and say hi! I will be wandering the exhibit hall during the days each day. As far as Saturday and Sunday...?

I wanted to let you all know that most Wednesday events are FREE (search Kentucky Fried Gaming on Gen Con's webpage)!

    See you all there!

So...Is Wednesday 12 PM Noon or Midnight? If noon, I'll probably be there. Also, does somebody who's sure to be there want to offer a cell phone number so that we can find each other? The convention hall is a big place and there are going to be a lot of people there with smiles on their faces.

Troy at Arsenal Games would love to get people to come out over the weekend and use his shop to break in your games.

He says the main reason he has a cover charge is to discourage people from loitering. I'm not sure exactly the deal that he's doing next month, but this month he's doing $4 of the $5 goes towards your food purchase!

So, point is: Arsenal Game Room is just 5 min drive from the Convention Center! Meetup there and support your Friendly Local Neighborhood Game Store!
