A Walk Through Middle Earth: The Sequel

I just realized that if you don't include the baby, we started our journey with 9 people! Quite the appropriate number to start off a journey through Middle Earth. We walked 3 miles on our last journey. If we walk 2 more miles we will have walked 5 miles and reach the Green Dragon Inn! If you missed out starting the journey with us and want to catch up, you can track 3 miles between now and this event. Join us! What say you? We will meet by the ruins, we will meet by the main entrance where the ruins are. I will have a Lord of the Rings t-shirt on and either blue or pink hair, and a baby stroller.

Eowyn Challenge Indianapolis is Indy's new geeky exercise experience. If you are serious about exercising more and or loosing weight and want the support of other geeks, then please join us on our journey! We would love to support gamers with reaching their exercise and or weight loss goals!

It looks like Mother Nature is being nice to us so we will still meet at our house and then head over to Northwest Way Park 1-2 miles away

I vote mall. Sophie and I get enough walking around in the house already with Draco.

I am sorry Ed. We will do it at the house but you and Sophie can stay and play games with us afterwards. Hoping next week the weather will be good and we can walk at Holiday Park.

I had a strange idea... We could do a "treasure hunt" at the Goodwill Outlet up the street from you (about 1 mile) and it is a big area so plenty of room to move around. They change out everything every 2 hours so every 2 hours we would have a new "dungeon" to explore.

What I was gonna do when weather was bad was have people over to our house and walk in place. I realize that may not be exciting but at least we will be warm. We can listen to LOTR music and play games after..

I am thinking we need to make this a mall walk what does everyone think? The weather is supposed to be craptastic on Sunday. Snow in late March! I am so over this!

I expect that Holliday Park would look delightful with a fresh covering of snow. Actually using its trails at that time, however, might be more reminiscent of Caradhras. I would agree with a move to someplace flatter, such as Northwestway Park again, the Indianapolis Museum of Art's 100 Acres, or yes a shopping mall.

Please let me know the location change if you move it to indoors due to the 6 inches of snow on Sunday.

I'm good for either but mall walk is a bit less appealing. I really wish the weather would warm up already!

By the way, the Holliday Park website at http://www.hollidaypark.org/ has maps and some information about the park's history (including the ruins).
