Repo! The Genetic Opera is going to be coming to the Keystone Arts Cinema in Indianapolis on Wednesday January 14th for the Repo Road Tour 3! This road tour is the last road tour, and the director and creators of the film are going to be there, along with yet to be determined actors from the film. Tickets are only $15 and it's HIGHLY suggested you get them in advance, as they will sell out all 500 seats.
Trust me, Repo is something you need to see with a group of fans. It's been likened to the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Organ reposession, drugs from the dead, sick little girls, and grave robbers await you in a dystopian cyberpunkish future set to an unforgettable industrial rock opera featuring Anthony Stewart Head (Buffy), Alexa Vega (Spy Kids), Nivek Ogre (of Skinny Puppy fame), Sarah Brightman, Paris Hilton, Paul Sorvino, Bill Mosely, and Terrance Zdunich (co-creator and animator!) As you can see, the cast is as eclectic as the opera itself.
Here's the official synopsis of the film from the site:
"In the year 2056 - the not so distant future - an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GeneCo, a biotech company that offers organ transplants, for a price. Those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by villainous Repo Men. In a world where surgery addicts are hooked on painkilling drugs and murder is sanctioned by law, a sheltered young girl searches for the cure to her own rare disease as well as information about her family's mysterious history. After being sucked into the haunting world of GeneCo, she is unable to turn back, as all of her questions will be answered at the wildly anticipated spectacular event: The Genetic Opera."
A friend of mine is a Repo Road Tour Leader for Indianapolis, so she's going to need help flyering, advertising, and getting the good word out. If you know of any papers or radio stations that would be interested in this sort of thing, please let me know! Also, please forward this email to ANYONE you think might even BAT an eyelash at this film or show the slightest interest in. Even if your friends can't make it to Indianapolis, the Road Tour is making numerous stops, including Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Milwaukee!
Tickets are available at http://www.reporoadto... There is going to be an article in Wednesday's NUVO magazine, too!
