October Dungeons and Dragons Family Event

So, how does this sound?
Younger children playing a live action/ treasure hunt DnD game stomping through the woods and a grassy yard while older children play a softened version of DnD at a table.. parents disbursed appropriately or enjoying open gaming with other adults at card tables? I think that it would be a super way for gaming familes to meet other gaming familes to game with.. which is hard to do with a regular adult meetup.
Babies.. I don't know nuttin' bout DnD for babies.. I guess we could get some peas and let them make yellow ocher or something.... ewwww. ;P
I'm thinking the yard game would be for children old enough to follow instructions from strangers (or a parent is available) but too young to sit through anything for four hours like ages 6 - 12 based on maturity level and the DnD game being more for kids who are or are almost ready to start playing DnD for real.. maybe 10 and up.. depending of course again on maturity level. Personally I'd go for the yard game but that's just me (and my perchance for dress-up pirate kissy kissy [tee hee hee]).
Food wise I'm thinking kid friendly pitch in and I'll provide mountains of chicken nuggets/ hot wings for grown ups.
Here's my pickle.. this would be in October in Fishers and the best weekend for Tod and I is the first weekend of the month.. which just so happens to be the 6th or 7th.. the same dates as the Fishers Ren Faire.. soooooo Wa-Da-Ya think? I've opened a Poll on what dates would be best.. please vote for all that you like.. and then also a Message String for discussion please comment if you have one!
