As we've had several people attend meetings who are new to PHP and express an interest in learning it, or learning it better, we're planning a regular monthly training class.  Please stay tuned for details on time.

No prior knowledge of PHP is necessary to attend, although having some html or programming experience or at least general computer experience would be helpful.

Bring a laptop, netbook, or tablet with keyboard - all you need is web browser - WiFi provided

Lessons will be presented during class and also accessable online

You will be able to review and repeat material at home after class

Classes will be 1-1.5 hours of material presented, with time afterwards for discussion or digging deeper into a subject of interest

I'm in the process of decommissioning the old cloud server currently running indyphp.com and all the user.indyphp.com accounts. Is this something that people are still using? Does someone else want to take over operating it? I'll leave it up until I can get a definitive direction on this.

I am not aware of any one using it still if you are decommissioning the server I wouldn't mind grabbing the domain of indyphp.com from you though so we can get a formal site up for the group to use

Jon Whitcraft actually has that domain. I've forwarded you the email chain when he set the A record to my server. I'll go ahead and take it offline this afternoon then, and wait a few days for any complaints before I shut it down permanently. Thanks.

Of course I'm working during the time you're hosting the meeting. Maybe next time. Is there anybody who is willing to do private workshops and mentoring for PHP?

I am not aware of anyone offering private mentoring or workshops but I'd be more than happy to send over a list of good free resources to learn PHP.
