If you currently use PHP or even just interested it, please join and participate.  Since some meetings are at bars, if you are not yet 21 please contact the organizer to check the venue before coming out to a meeting.  If you have a PHP job (direct hire or contract) that you wish to communicate to the members, please email the organizer along with details of the job and how to apply and it will be included in the semi-regular announcements.

We have regular discussion meetings and training meetings. Presentations or offers to teach a class are welcome -- please contact the organizer to arrange in advance.  Feel free to bring a laptop and some code to play with if you want to share or get some help.

Because using PHP often incorporates other languages and protocols, we also cover topics such as: MySQL, JavaScript, Regular Expressions, Apache/HTTP, HTML, XML, JSON, AJAX, jQuery, and so on.

PHP is used extensively by businesses and hobbyists to build dynamic web pages and other general programming tasks.  Whether you are a novice or an expert, there is an abundance and variety of applications, methods, frameworks, libraries, and design patterns to keep you always learning something new.  Getting together regularly gives us a chance to learn, exchange ideas, network, and share tips and tricks we've discovered.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
