The response to my query about emailing job listings was overwhelmingly positive, and with almost no exceptions the weekly option was preferred. I'm going to go ahead and send out an "occasional" email, no more than once per week, but less often when I have no new information.
Thanks to those who attended our last PHP+Beer Downtown event - and my apologies for missing last months. I've had some scheduling conflicts, and so I'm going to be moving this meeting to the 3rd Tuesday instead of 2nd Tuesday. I'd also like to add a second get-together meetup with a more formal agenda and organized subjects - reviews of specific frameworks for example. Does anyone have an idea for a venue where we can have food and drinks, but also a separate meeting space (projector or big screen would be wonderful) and doesn't actually charge much if any?
PHP101 has been well attended, but has been a challenge for me to prepare in the past with my job schedule. Even though I'm switching to doing contract work next month and should have more time, I'd also like to open this up for others to teach some classes. Anyone with an interest please get in touch with me and we'll set a date and subject and announce it. I'll also make available to you the indyphp.com server as a resource.
