What is your experience with Ruby?

I've been developing web apps and sites in Rails since 2006. Since TextDrive didn't cut the mustard, I've been building out a solid hosting environment using CentOS, Nginx and Mongrel Cluster / Thin which is monitored by monit. Much faster than Apache, Lighttpd and FastCGI.

Do you use Ruby professionally or as a hobby?

Professionally developing applications, sites and admin scripts. In 2006 we launched PMICIC.org in Rails, and this year we are deploying it across the country to multiple chapters. I also have several smaller websites in development.

Introduction

I am the co-owner of TGFI (www.tgfi.net), a small web applicaiton development, hosting and network support company in downtown Indianapolis. I've always had a passion for simplicity, which is why Ruby just makes me smile.
