Looks like the rails core team is desperate for help -as they repeatedly ask for help testing, patch contribution, etc. Also - keep an eye out for EventMachine - as it's going to be a big centerpiece for future Rails performance (like - factor of 10 increase). Ilya Grigorik gave a great talk on setting up a non-blocking request handler using Ruby 1.9 Fibers, EventMachine, Rails 3 middleware, and some small lib patches.

I heard about this, sort of. I'd love to know more.

Haha. I've had a guy in my ear about wicked_pdf and getting it running
on Rails 3 and Ruby 1.9.2. I really need to get on top of that. Is
there any particular area in which the Rails core team needs help? I
really should contribute back to Rails, too.

The Birds of a Feather sessions at night have been pretty good. I stayed for a few last night and did't leave the last one (Yehuda and Carl's) until 11:30pm.
