I've yet to attend an indy.rb meetup, even though it's the one I want to attend most, because of a long-standing wednesday-night schedule conflict I have. :(
So hopefully you won't read this as spam... :) and hopefully I'll make it to a meeting someday!!
I decided to organize the Indianapolis "instance" of the Global Day of Coderetreat. It's basically a free, full day thing on Saturday Dec. 3rd. (There is a free catered lunch!) :)
It's only for 26 people, so it's a more intimate setting - the idea is that through an intentional format, we can pair and work on a problem several times throughout the day (Conway's Game of Life), each time exploring different design approaches, practices, etc. It's language agnostic - you work in whatever language you're comfortable in.
There are currently 20 slots free.
Hope to see some of you there!
