Dealing with Dependencies

No location was chosen

Speaker: Jon Fuller

Our software has become more and more complex. Managing all the details and how to wire all your objects together in a flexible manner that enables testing and rapid development becomes increasingly difficult, almost prohibitively so.
Practicing Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control with a container will help you get back to writing your application by dealing with all that mess for you. It sounds like magic, but it's not really. We'll look at a couple super simple examples to introduce us to the concepts, and then dig in a little bit once we feel comfortable so we can see the zen we can create for ourselves by letting go, and giving someone else control.
I don't like to give REALLY long talks, so we'll probably either finish with some in depth code examples, Q&A, or lots of discussion and heated debates. Bring it on!
Pizza and geeking out start at 5:15 and the presentation will begin at 6PM.

This should be an exciting conversation! Jon told me that he is looking for some conversation and not just lecture, so we should bring some questions to ask!
