How the Internet Works

  • Oct 17, 2013 · 5:30 PM

Join us for a "behind-the-scenes" look at the Internet itself with Alex Conner!

The Internet has completely redefined the way we think of software, enabling connections between systems across the country and across the world. Join me for a dive below the surface of the great high-level constructs we work with today and see how your packets really get from point A to point B.

As always, we'll start with pizza and socializing (Social Pizza™) at 5:30pm and some short intro stuff around 6.

Hi all, Please forgive the spam. I am genuinely interested in engaging with software artisans in the Indy area, as I'm a professor of CS at Purdue University. But I do want to bring to your attention the SPLASH (Software, Programming, Languages, and Applications: Software for Humanity) conference being held in Indy the last week of October. We have a great line-up of speakers which should be of interest to you all. For information, please go to http://splashcon.org. SPLASH is not your usual academic research conference. It has something for everyone: developers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, thinkers, and yes, even dry academics like me. Hope to see you at SPLASH.
