      Eileen, Sorry for the delay in my response. I saw that you had a similar experience to Lisa.

      Yes, our classes are more of a class-style set up. I do my best to welcome Meet Up members with a general "Welcome to those attending from our local Meet Up group!" as we start, but we don't do anything more formal. I assumed (perhaps poorly assumed) that Meet Up folks might be more chatty with attendees around them - introducing themselves & making conversation. Customers are also welcome to linger after the event to chat with others. I apologize this wasn't clearer. We will do our best to be clearer in the future. If you have any specific suggestions on how to clarify this (in the descriptions for our other events that we are posting here), feel free to pass wording-suggestions along.

      Again, thanks so much for attending & for the feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the class experience, and hope that your Meeting-Up-with-new-peop­le-experience will be better in the future.

    I thought the chef did a great job and I enjoyed both items she made in class. I will use the recipes she gave us. I also went to this meet up meeting for the first time and yet never met or found out if anyone was there from Meetup. I got to the class on time so not sure why no one from Meetup was introduced. I'll try again in the near future. I would love to meet some new friends.

      Jan, Great question. This is a little less of a meet & mingle event, and more of a cooking class style event. There's no need to bring a dish to share. Our awesome instructor will be sharing her knowledge of food and showing you how to make some delicious recipes. (And, of course, you'll get samples too!)
