A conversation on "Thinking vs. Feeling" hosted by Cafe Philo for those who are interested. http://www.meetup.com/New-York-Cafe-Philo/events/203586062/

Myers-Briggs points out different people put different emphasis on each of those two. Cafe Philo likely would be inclined to look at one in opposition to the other, perhaps in the same person.

Good meeting newcomers and seeing regulars. Good feedback for a large turnout seated over 5 table was that a third rotation of tables to meet other personality types would have been appreciated over that 2 hour period.

Special thanks to the Enthusiasts sharing their expertise and to the ENTJs for getting the crowd to rotate tables.

The other 2 groups are looking to have a fun time learning more about the 16 MBTI personality types.

See you soon. Please find me to make a nametag with your personality type. This conversation is not structured. Mingle. Explore. Find a table with the personality types you are interested in and share insights with each other.

Proposed Agenda: Switch tables at half-time.

      February 23, 2014

  • Robert P.

With enough people for 3 tables it would be theoretically possible to group compatibles and semi-compatibles together rooting out incompatibles. Might be unwieldy first time around though. Bob = INTP

I'll leave it to the more knowledgeable enthusiast to group the tables as people stagger in. There approx. 80-90 RSVPs total currently. I will bring additional paper/markers to mark table groupings.

Hi all, new here, why does the meeting time keep changing? I'm sensing alot of P-ness, no pun intended

    February 22, 2014

    • Yen

I'm not aware of any time changes. It has been 4-6pm since announcement. The change log in this comment section below does not reflect any time changes.

An additional 21 are coming from "Conversations New York" and "Conversation Lovers."

    February 17, 2014

    • Yen

We are likely to have a large turnout again. I will bring nametags and markers for people to write their personality types on and for people to find the personality types they are looking for. Any other ideas?

      2 · February 18, 2014

    • Yen

We have over 75 RSVPs among all 3 groups attending tomorrow. Unfortunately, there will be too many of use to form one circle and get introduced everyone as we have done before which is a shame but we can break up into smaller circles for introductions...would people appreciate an opportunity (e.g. a formal announcement at half-time) to encourage mingling with the other circles?

Regardless, I will bring 100 nametags to write our personality type on and print out profile summaries for each personality type to refresh those less familiar types outside their own (if my print cartridge can handle all of it, I will bring enough for 3 tables.).. Can anyone else bring printouts for their tables?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
