writing lab #2: feedback exchange

Hello writers! Let's get together, share our stories, and exchange feedback.

- What should I bring? Please bring one printed copy of your story, no longer than 500 words, at least 12-point font size. You may share anonymously, so you decide whether or not to include your name.

- What kinds of stories are accepted? All kinds. We're open to any written material you'd like to share — fiction, nonfiction, poetry, plays, screenplays, or anything experimental. These might be complete pieces or selections from longer stories.

- How does it work? After briefly getting to know each other, we jump into silent reading and feedback exchange. Your story goes around the group, each of us gets to contribute targeted written feedback, and at the end, you walk away with tons of input on your writing! This structure allows for honest feedback to push our boundaries as writers.

- Do I have to commit to attending regularly? Not at all. Though we're hosting weekly meetups, you're free to join us whenever you'd like.

Don't be lonely. Write together. Receiving feedback is helpful, but there's nothing as empowering than contributing to another writer's work. We think we can all create better stories, and we can't wait to build a vibrant community to support you along the way.

It just keeps getting better and better! And now I have inspiration and ideas for an entire NOVEL that I never thought to entertain to our discussions. So beautiful. Thank you doing all this Mike. :-)

I'll be there! I'll be booking it down from Midtown though. I'm out of work at 5:30pm. So I may be a tiny bit late. But I'll be there. And I may have a friend meeting up there as well! His name is Danny. I don't think he's on MeetUp, but I met him in my Writing Workshop classes in college, and he's a really good writer! :-)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
