Do you find the more you try to create love, happiness and success, the more they seem to elude you or the harder it becomes. And these wishes become burdens and just extra things to “deal with”?
Find how and why “Our current level of thinking CREATES our Problems” per Einstein, Lao Tzu, Byron Katie etc!
For those who feel “Free” enough, after the meeting, we maybe going to Terribles, 4100 Paradise Rd, (Corner of E. Flamingo) 1.30pm, for a half price buffet,! :)
Verse 21 - Tao de Ching, interpretation by Stephen Mitchell.
The Master keeps her mind always at one with the Tao; that is what gives her radiance.
The Tao is ungraspable. How can her mind be at one with it? Because she doesn't cling to ideas.
The Tao is dark and unfathomable. How can it make her radiant? Because she lets it.
Since before time and space were, the Tao is. It is beyond is and is not.
How do I know this is true? I look inside myself and see.
If you want to become whole, let yourself be partial.
If you want to become straight, let yourself be crooked.
If you want to become full, let yourself be empty.
If you want to be reborn, let yourself die.
If you want to be given everything, give everything up.
The Master, by residing in the Tao, sets an example for all beings.
Because he doesn't display himself, people can see his light.
Because he has nothing to prove, people can trust his words.
Because he doesn't know who he is, people recognize themselves in him.
Because he has no goal in mind, everything he does succeeds.
When the ancient Masters said, "If you want to be given everything, give everything up,"
they weren't using empty phrases. Only in being lived by the Tao can you be truly yourself.
We will be reviewing our thoughts and ideas from last weeks verse and asking questions like –
1. How could you live a life NOT “clinging to ideas”? Is that possible?
2. How could you be “given everything, if you give everything up"?
And I’m sure alot more! :)

I STRONGLY recommend the “10 meetings deal”, not just because I want you to come back and it’s the best deal, but because this “different level of thinking” does not seem “easy” for most minds to grasp. At best, I feel you “may” get some sort of “intellectual appreciation” of it, from the first meeting. Hence I recommend at least 10 sessions to get a better “intellectual appreciation and deeper understanding” of it and maybe even start to get a “real experience” of it, in your life/world! I think anything less, would be “cheating” yourself and maybe leave you with a “very limited” and possibly “false” impression of what is available, why and how etc! :(
I look forward to seeing you and helping you “Discover your Life’s Vision/Game of Life”! :)
PS Here are the 3 book references, I will be using –

3. “A Thousand Names for Joy: Living in Harmony with the Way Things Are” by Byron Katie
If you have any other questions on the “Tao de Ching” or have your own interpretations, books, CDs, videos etc etc, please feel free to bring them along! :)
