Looking for a graphic designer with 1-3 years experience. Must be interested in full-time employment in the downtown Raleigh area, free breakfast everyday, marketing, eCommerce clients, Adobe Illustrator & InDesign, and working in a modern space! ([masked])

Just wanted to add some more information about invision if anyone is curious. The collaboration and discussion aspects of invision weren't really discussed last night, but those are really the biggest value of invision. When you invite folks to view your mockups, they can step through the screens as we saw last night, but they can also add annotations and mark up points of interest on the screen as they go. These annotations become threaded comments that you can chime in on simply by replying to the notification emails you get from invision. Really convenient. There certainly isn't a "one perfect prototyping tool" out there, but invision does a particularly good job of capturing the feedback. While I tend to prefer having those design conversations in person or over a screenshare, invision can fill in some of the gaps between more personal interactions.

Oh and thanks everyone. It was radical watching the presenters build the prototypes live. Very bold. Very cool.

What were you all using to put that dark mask around the mouse cursor? I want that.

Nicely done! Especially in delivering multiple demos of several exciting prototyping products. Both worthwhile and fun!

    June 19, 2014

    • Ildar S.

      The rain was very brief.

yeah - i made it because it stopped

It was very good - probably great - but I am on the edges - a developer who as to be a designer - instead of a pure designer

100% awesome! Fun, engaging, informative - I met some great people.

In case you're wondering like I was, 201 Main St, the one with the blue doors and red lettered adress, *is* the entrance you're looking for. Downstairs.

Going to have to miss the first one. Sent announcement to Crop members too. Going to let someone else go in my place. Have a great inaugural meetup, hate that I'm missing it.

I recently discovered the world of UX and was looking for a way to learn more about it. Would I be completely lost by coming to this?

    June 18, 2014

    • Ticketmaster Mobile S.

Hi Martha. We're going to be focusing on a very specific set of tools that are more useful for UI work as we're going to be demonstrating how to put together a prototype for an animation interaction.

  • Ticketmaster Mobile S.

Ok guys, upon review we've opened up the attendee list. Hopefully we'll have a mic set up to help out with the audio level, so everyone can hear the presentation. As for the pizza–we're going to order a bunch and have quite a few sodas, but it's definitely going to be first come serve.

    Thank you!

    June 18, 2014

  • Bruno S.

I don't care about the food if I can attend! I have pretty good hearing too :)

    June 18, 2014

  • Basia C.

I'd love to be able to attend without food!

    June 18, 2014

  • Michael T.

Any chance to get a larger venue to hold everyone including the wait list?

    2 · June 18, 2014

    • Ticketmaster Mobile S.

We're definitely looking into how we can accommodate everybody. Current issues are around the amount of food (which we may just have to limit to first come first serve) and audio (if it'll be easy enough for everybody to hear). Will update shortly.

No worries Tess, we'll try to post up slides or a video if we can. Hope you can join the next one!
